If you’re playing the new Scarlet & Violet DLC and want to know how to evolve Yanma in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet The Teal Mask, we’ve got all the information for you right here!

Yanma is a Pokemon that has been around for some time, being first introduced in Ruby & Sapphire.

But, it didn’t actually get the Yanmega evolution until Diamond & Pearl, a rarity somewhat back then.

With The Teal Mask, Yanma makes its return in Scarlet & Violet and yes, you can evolve it into Yanmega once more.

Here are the steps you need to take to make your Yanma grow into that all-important Yanmega.

If you’ve got a Yanma ready to go in your party, you’ll need to do a couple of things in order for it to evolve. First, you’ll need it to be at least level 33 as this is the precise level that Yanma is required to be at in order to begin the evolution process.

This is due to the fact that at this level, it will try to learn the move Ancient Power. This is integral to the next step.

Don’t worry if you have a Yanma that has passed this level as you can always go into the ‘Remember Moves’ option of the ‘Change Moves’ menu and replace one of the current moves with Ancient Power.

Once your Yanma is equipped with Ancient Power, what you’ll need to do now is increase its level by at least one.

This can be done either via the usual battling and gaining EXP method, or by simply using EXP Candies or a Rare Candy to boost it up.

After you do this, Yanma will actually just evolve right then and there into Yanmega, simple stuff!
