AYANEO Pocket Air Leak Confirms Snapdragon Chipset In New Handheld

AYANEO Pocket Air Snapdragon 8 Gen 2

Just days after the announcement of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset coming in the AYN Odin2, an AYANEO Pocket Air leak has brought about an alternative in their upcoming Pocket Air.

This is no coincidence, of course. In fact, I am absolutely positive that AYANEO saw the AYN announcement and said “hey, we can do that too!”.

We could look at this as fair competition and a healthy availability of alternatives for all tastes.

But if you know anything about AYANEO, you will see this as yet another product added to a massive list of upcoming devices from the premium handheld maker.

The Pocket Air is AYANEO’s first Android-based game console that will feature a 5.5 inch OLED display, X86-level active cooling, and Hall joysticks & triggers.

The existing iteration already in production will leverage a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chip.

But in true AYANEO fashion, we now have yet another SOC on the horizon.

We have learned that AYANEO intends to introduce a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip model to the Pocket Air lineup.

To be more specific, we’ve discovered that AYANEO plans to offer an iteration of the Pocket Air with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 or a chip more powerful.

Impressions

To be fair, pretty much every product that AYANEO creates is at the highest level of quality and aesthetic beauty.

And with another competitor on the scene, we’re expecting a fierce handheld battle over the coming months.

So if there was a particular detail about the Odin2 you didn’t like, this AYANEO Pocket Air leak proves that we will have some alternatives.
