Fusing is one of the best mechanics we’ve seen in any Zelda game thus far, though we’ve regretted some of the weird and wonderful ‘spur-of-the-moment’ weapon choices we’ve made recently! That’s why I’m going to tell you how to unfuse weapons in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom – to make your life easier.
You might think you know how to do this, but I can assure you, there’s a good and a bad way to unfuse items.
And when I say bad, I don’t mean Demon King bad, more that it unnecessarily wastes your resources.
Of course, if you’re already well versed in unfusing weapons, you can read about how to get Autobuild in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, and how to beat Ganondorf in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom (if you haven’t already).
However, if you’re eager to reuse some high value items, stick with me and I’ll show you the unfusing ropes.
How To Unfuse Weapons In Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom
To successfully unfuse a weapon, visit Pelison in Tarrey Town (the Goron located next to the shop); for a fee of 20 Rupees, Pelison will “break it down” and return the items to Link.
Why is this the better way to unfuse than simply going into your inventory and selecting the option yourself?
It’s simpe; the items don’t break.
When Pelison unfuses weapons, none of the resources are harmed. But if Link unfuses them himself, you’ll lose the fused item you used.
Although it’s not exactly difficult to come by most TotK items, it’s all too easy to fuse the wrong item to the wrong weapon. By using Pelison, you avoid losing items you worked hard to obtain.
To Tarrey Town!
If you’ve not located this quirky settlement just yet, you need to head to the Akkala Highlands, aiming specifically for the Uri Mountain Skyview Tower (co-ordinates 3493, 2019, 0188).
By launching from there, you can easily glide over to Tarrey Town, avoiding enemies and Gloom Chasms as you go.
Just in case your stamina wheel isn’t strong enough to take that flight, heading to the Hudson Construction Site to the southeast of the tower will allow you to take a cable car to the town instead.
As you can see, how to unfuse weapons in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is super easy. On the flip side of that, it also means you’ll need to open up your map.
