Some interesting news coming out of Japan this week. We have a brand new Pokemon that has been introduced in the Pokemon Horizons anime, which began airing April 14th.

Pokémon Horizons: The Series is a brand new addition to the Pokemon television series and serves as the 26th season of the long standing anime.

This series bases its story around the universe of Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, a game that our writer Emma has spent quite a bit of time living in.

There had been rumors of a Scarlet and Violet DLC incoming, and it was later confirmed to be called “The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero”.

Fans have been very excited to see what hints the Horizons show will give us about future content.

Well it didn’t take very long for us to see something new and exciting.

Pokemon Horizons premiered on April 14th, and we got a glimpse at a mysterious new Pokemon.

New Pokemon ???

Obviously, the internet has been going nuts over this cute little baby. And drawing their own conclusions about who/what this could be.

Just yesterday, The Pokemon Company took to Twitter to clear up the mystery. Their official statement about the new pocket monster:

“A newly discovered Pokémon appears in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero for Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet!

Its splendid aura is reminiscent of the Legendary Pokémon Terapagos, but this Pokémon’s name and true nature are shrouded in mystery.”

So our new Pokemon is “reminiscent” of Terapagos. And will make its official game debut in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero that is coming to Pokemon Scarlet + Violet this winter.

Keen Pokemon trainers would easily recognize this as a pre-evolved version of the legendary Pokemon Terapagos coming to the Indigo Disk of the upcoming DLC.

So what do you guys think? It seems like baby Terapagos (name yet to be revealed) already has quite a fan base.

And we can’t wait to meet him/her in the upcoming Pokemon Scarlet + Violet DLC.
