At Retro Dodo, we’re just as passionate about Pokemon ROM hacks as we are Pokemon. This is why I’m going to dive into the vibrant world of Pokemon SORS, and give you the lowdown on the 11 best Pokemon SORS cheat codes of 2023.

For those not familiar with Pokemon Sors (where have you been?), it’s based on Pokemon FireRed.

Set in the Hupest Region, its story centres around an event called The Eclipse that happened 300 years ago, and the villains who want to trigger a new event. It’s all very dramatic. Not ignoring the fact that it introduces a new Pokemon Type: Eclipse.

However, while we love the story and the new routes it takes, we’re here for the cheat codes that’ll help make gameplay easier. I’m talking about infinite items, moolah, and so much more.

To ensure you can use these codes without issue, I’ll be including both Codebreaker and Gameshark codes.

I’d also like to note that this isn’t the full list of cheat codes, but rather a streamlined version of what I, and other players, consider the best of the best. If you disagree, I won’t be able to hear over the sound of how awesome my Pokemon SORS playthrough is.

11. Unlimited PP

There’s nothing worse than running out of PP during a fight, which is why this cheat code is a godsend – never run out of PP again. Ever.

10. Unlimited Healing Items

Another annoying snag you can face during battle is running out of healing items, but with this Codebreaker cheat you’ll have all the healing supplies you’ll ever need.

Codebreaker Code: 820257C4 YYYY

The ‘YYYY’ needs to be changed to obtain the healing item you want, e.g. for Potions you’d use ‘000D’ instead.

Here’s a full list of the last four digits for each healing item:

000D – Potion
000E – Antidote
000F – Burn Heal
0010 – Ice Heal
0011 – Awakening
0012 – Parlyz Heal
0013 – Full Restore
0014 – Max Potion
0015 – Hyper Potion
0016 – Super Potion
0017 – Full Heal
0018 – Revive
0019 – Max Revive

9. Unlimited Master Balls

We’re sticking with the theme of infinite items, this time with a cheat code that’ll get you unlimited Master Balls in Pokemon SORS. Now you’ll be able to catch any ‘mon, without fail.

8. Unlimited Rare Candy

I promise you I’m about to deliver some tasty Pokemon SORS cheat codes that aren’t ‘unlimited x’, but before I do that, I want to bestow upon you the ultimate unlimited in-game item: unlimited money.

6. Wild Pokemon Level Modifier

Want to know what’s better than unlimited Rare Candies? A Level Modifier! That’s right, now you don’t have to get an item because you can level up (or down) the wild Pokemon you encounter.

5. Catch Other Trainers’ Pokemon

See a ‘mon you want but it belongs to another trainer? Well, that isn’t a problem for you anymore! Use the below Gameshark cheat to take what you want.

Just make sure to hold down the L and R bumpers before you throw that Pokeball. Oh, and catch rates for Pokemon still apply, as does the effectiveness of each type of ball.

4. Encounter No Wild Pokemon

Bye bye Repel; this next entry in our best Pokemon SORS cheat codes gives us another way to avoid ‘mon getting in our way. Use this and you’ll be able to run through grass and dark caves without annoying foes popping up.

If you want to meet wild Pokemon on your travels, why not turn every encounter into a Shiny Pokemon encounter! You’ll be the envy of every trainer you meet.

2. Walk Through Walls

Traversing dank caves can be tedious, especially if you don’t know the route, that’s why you need to learn how to walk through walls.

1. Instant Faint

Some of you may relish a hard battle, but me? I like things to go my way, which is why an Instant Faint code is always going to take the top spot for me.

You need to use an Attack Move, aka a move that inflicts damage, for this cheat to work.

Now you can play Pokemon SORS however you want, though I’d still recommend a vanilla playthrough before using these cheat codes.
