You might be wondering why you need to learn how to beat Sheegoth in Metroid Prime Remastered – you’ve already dealt with the small ones, why will a giant one be any different? Well, the boss Sheegoth is quite different from its offspring.

Then there’s the fact that Sheegoth takes quite some time to actually die, even when you’re executing the right sort of attacks. All in all, it’s an arduous battle, though not necessarily difficult.

For these reasons alone, I feel it only right to show you what to do and when to do it, to save you the trouble of aimlessly shooting without any results.

Buckle up, folks, mama Sheegoth is angry and all that rage is focused on you!

How To Beat Sheegoth In Metroid Prime Remastered

To successfully take down Sheegoth you need to wait until it uses its ice breath, then shoot its mouth. If Sheegoth momentarily glows red, you hit the target. Repeat the process until it faints.

Sounds easy, right? Yeah… about that… You see, Sheegoth is going to try to trample you to death whilst you wait for the right moment to fire. Also, it’s going to throw ice rocks at you when it isn’t spraying out icy breath.

This is where dodging comes into play; you need to lock onto Sheegoth, then dodge its attacks, waiting until it finally uses its ice breath. When this happens, it’ll briefly become exhausted, allowing you to get close up and personal with your attacks.

To deal the most amount of damage, and quickly, I’d suggest using missiles – the Power Beam will do the job, but the battle will last much longer.

If you haven’t already, make sure to read my 5 best Metroid Prime Remastered beginners tips to ensure you know to save often, and to scan like mad. If you’re not scanning every creature you see, you’re doing it wrong.

Without scanning mama Sheegoth, you won’t know that its mouth and underbelly are the most vulnerable to Samus’ attacks, not its back like its babies.

Once the beast is slain, you can walk up and rightfully claim your reward: the Wave Beam.

There you go, you’ve bested another boss, and are ready to make your way over to Specimen Storage and Pirate territory.
