Whether you power through Metroid Prime Remastered or you take your time, there’s no denying that the Space Jump Boots make Samus’ life much easier. So, with that in mind, let’s learn how to get Space Jump in Metroid Prime Remastered.
Just a little FYI before we begin: as tempting as it is to head directly for the Space Jump boots before visiting Phendrana Drifts, it’s a pointless exercise because you need the Boost Ball first.
This should give you a hint at how much back and forth you’re going to endure.
It sounds like a lot of hard work – and it is – but it’s worth it. Besides, you can’t progress any further without Space Jump.
Deep breaths, people, we’ve got this!
How To Get Space Jump In Metroid Prime Remastered
To get Space Jump, you need to return to the Tallon Overworld Landing Site. Once there, platform across the rocky ledges to reach the Space Jump room.
That’s the shortened version. If you want a more in-depth account, just keep on reading. But maybe get yourself a cuppa because this could take awhile…
Firstly, you need to travel from the Chozo Ruins to Magmoor Caverns, before making your way through the fiery depths of Burning Trail, Lake Tunnel, Lava Lake, Pit Tunnel, Triclops Pit, Monitor Tunnel, then the Monitor Station.
Most of the enemies you’ll encounter are easy to kill, but be careful of those turrets – they can do a lot of damage in a short amount of time. Sadly, the Monitor Station has several of them.
Personally, I’d suggest wiping them out so you can move around with ease, but you can also just dash for it if you’re in a hurry.
Whatever course of action you choose, you need to climb to the second level of the Monitor Station, then use Transport Tunnel A to reach Phrendrana Drifts.
Look To The (Ice Ruins) East
Samus now needs to make her way through Phendrana Shorelines into Ice Ruins East, then back to Phendrana Shorelines so you can head to the Ice Ruins West.
Hopefully Samus is immune to the cold because you need to help her reach Phendrana Canyon, where you’ll find a series of platforms that lead you to the Boost Ball!
The thing is, now you’ve got this upgrade, you have retrace your steps back to the Magmoor Caverns, stopping at the Monitor Station to take Transport Tunnel B just off Fiery Shores.
This section involves skilfully navigating a perilous track in your Morph Ball form (did I forget to mention lava is everywhere?). If you’re successful, you’ll reach the hologram to take you to Tallon Overworld West.
From here, head to the Root Tunnel to get to Tallon Canyon (yes, another canyon where you have to Boost Ball your way to great heights).
Assuming you haven’t rage quit yet, cross the bridge then turn into the Morph Ball to plant a Morph Ball Bomb. Doing so will reveal a secret tunnel that takes you to the upper levels of the Landing Site. Finally.
All you have to do now is traverse across the ledges until you reach a Blue Door – enter and grab that Space Jump. I think it’s fair to say you’ve earned it!
If you’re nowhere near this stage yet because you’re struggling to find your way out of the Chozo Ruins, knowing where all the Chozo Ruins rune locations are will help. As will my guide on how to beat Flaahgra in Metroid Prime Remastered.
