Sony has announced the February Playstation Plus lineup, which releases on February 21st, and there’s something retro in there that we are excited about!
If you’re a subscriber to the Playstation Plus service, then you know the joy of the monthly lineup. It’s like Christmas every month of the year.
This month’s game list is quite incredible. Between games like Horizon Forbidden West, Resident Evil 7 biohazard, and Borderlands 3 – you’ll surely be quite busy up until the March announcement.
And while we absolutely love all three of those titles, and consider them all must-play games… there was something extra about this month’s games that had us particularly excited.
The Legend of Dragoon
The games that were announced for the Playstation Premium subscribers were Harvest Moon: Back to Nature, Wild Arms 2, and… The Legend of Dragoon!
Yes, The Legend of Dragoon from the Playstation 1 was part of the February PS Plus games.
Legend of Dragoon made our lists of the 20 best PS1 RPGs and the best PS1 games of all time. So surely you don’t have to ask us if we think it’s a banger.
This classic game title was developed by Japan Studio. If you’re not familiar, let me give you a few of their projects: Shadow of Colossus, Ghost of Tsushima, Demon Souls, Bloodborne, Dark Cloud.
Japan Studio dedicated over one hundred staff members and $16 million to create The Legend of Dragoon.
Oh, and did we mention dragons? What else do you need to know?
Besides the classic game play, you also get up-rendering, rewind, quick save, and custom video filters when you play on your Playstation 4 or 5.
We cannot stress how awesome this is for anybody subscribed to the Playstation Premium service.
Sure, play Borderlands 3, play Horizon Forbidden West. But first… play The Legend of Dragoon!
