1. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga (2022)
The results are in, the Force has awakened, and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga takes the top spot as the best Lego game on Nintendo Switch!
With all of the laughs, thills, and spills of the previously mentioned LEGO games combined with all 9 Star Wars films in order, this is one of the greatest nerdalicious games that you need in your collection.
Whenever I’m stressed, this is the game I go to, and it never fails to cheer me up.
The Star Wars universe is literally spread across the universe. Pilot over 100 vehicles and spaceships as you move between 23 different planets from featured in the Star Wars story.
Whether wielding a blaster pistol or a lightsaber, the controls are silky smooth and easy to get to grips with from the off.
There are different classes to pick from such as Dark Side or Bounty Hunter, and you get to play as Obi Wan Kenobi in the digital edition too!
2. LEGO DC Super Villains (2018)
Everyone loves being a bad guy from time to time, especially judging by how many copies GTA has sold in its lifetime. LEGO DC Super Villains gives players the chance to be the greatest villain of all time.
This open world Lego game that falls within the DC universe. The Justice League have disbanded, and you, a new villain on the block, are tasked with causing havoc against the newly formed Justice Syndicate.
Show those guys who the real boss of the streets is!
Don’t worry; you might be a new villain, but loads of other famous faces like Harley Quin and the crazy Joker show up to help you along your journey.
The thing is, the motley crew on the wrong side of the law might be about to uncover what this new gang of superheroes is really all about.
Maybe being bad can sometimes be good?
3. LEGO Harry Potter: Harry Potter Collection (2018)
The Lego Harry Potter: Harry Potter Collection takes the bronze medal in this LEGO Nintendo Switch compendium. In case you’re feeling a little lost, this game is two titles in one.
Play through the Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4 and Years 5-7, remastered for the Switch and all under the same, magically enchanted roof!
Take Harry, Ron, and Hermione through Hogwarts castle, reenacting out all of the scenes from the books and films.

The attention to detail is second to none. Head into Diagon Alley, encounter famous faces, save students, and become the chosen one!
4. LEGO Jurassic World (2015)
LEGO Jurassic World is one of those games that has everything I loved as a kid – dinosaurs and Lego.
Ok, so if it had the Power Rangers in it too, then that really would be everything, but it’s a pretty good start.
This isn’t just a movie about one game. I know it has World in the title, but this encompasses four Jurassic movies in it.
There are 20 levels, five for each of the four films. Granted, there’s no possible way of playing every scene from every movie, so think of it as a bit of a ‘best of’ title.
The dinosaurs look incredible too, all perfectly recreated as LEGO minifigures. The one above looks like it could have been in an 80s New Wave band with that cool eyeliner.
The weather system changes in game, as does the world hub you start from as you move through the levels. Plus, who wouldn’t want the chance to wear a slick Lego fedora from time to time?
5. LEGO City Undercover (2013)
LEGO City Undercover takes the 5th spot in our list of the best Lego games of all time. This is another title that doesn’t follow a movie plot, bringing an epic storyline to the Switch for LEGO fans to jump into.
How many of you played this title back in the Wii U days? It made our list of the best Wii U games too!
It also has one of the best named characters in the business too… Chase McCain. Stop infamous gangster Rex fury in his tracks from stunning levels in one of the beefiest Lego titles around.
Undercover sold over 1-million titles, making it one of the Wii U’s greatest achievements. Like the other LEGO titles in this list, it’s incredibly funny and makes me laugh every time I play it.
The thing is, it reminds me of GTA and Driver, just with Lego characters, which is funny in itself. There’s no LEGO killing but plenty of car chases and disguises to don through each of the missions.
Hey, If there’s one thing we should all know by now too, it’s that LEGO games aren’t just for kids This is a title with brilliant puzzles and the chance to build like an absolute demon.
Plus, flying a Lego helicopter has pretty much been everyone’s dream at one point in their lives!
6. LEGO Brawls (2022)
Imagine if Super Smash Brothers got the Lego treatment. That’s LEGO Brawls in a nutshell, folks!
The aim of the game is simple; break your blocky foes and smash them into oblivion.
Players build their own Lego figure and and can even make insane powerups from studs and blocks too.
This is a brawler game with a difference. The levels are iconic and feature in other incredible LEGO games such as Ninjago, the very game we’ve just looked at.
Why has LEGO Brawls scored above my beloved Ninjago though?
Taking a non-biased approach, this game is perfect for families and friends to dive into and game together with. It’s one of those titles that brings people together, and the Retro Dodo team always have a laugh while playing it.
Jason usually cries when I beat him, but I promised I wouldn’t mention that.
7. The LEGO Ninjago Movie Videogame (2017)
The LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game features regularly in our games lists here at Retro Dodo. Heck, it recently appeared in our ninja games compendium, proving that while it’s bright and colourful, it’s also a serious game!
There’s a strong possibility that you grabbed this game during all that trouble with lockdowns and the Coronavirus. Can you remember that? Probably not… It’s not like it had a global impact or anything.
This is the third title in the list LEGO Movie game series. It’s also my favourite and I’m not afraid to say it.
Traveller’s Tales knock every game out of the park, and the comedic elements in Ninjago will leave you with a massive smile on your face.
Still, with the tried and tested game mechanics from the other games and the fact that deep down, it’s a perfectly crafted Ninja game, it’s a force to break reckoned with.
The level scenes are incredible, the gameplay itself is fast and engaging, and having the chance to attack with a lego sword never ever gets old.
8. LEGO Marvel Super Heroes (2013)
Listen, I know everyone loves the Avengers after watching Endgame. Still, there are so many other epic Marvel characters out there for players to dive into action with.
The X-Men have sat on the back burner for a while, as have the Fantastic Four. Check out Captain Britain (one for all the English readers to celebrate!), Ghost Rider, and a little Lego version of Stan Lee too!
Like LEGO Worlds, Marvel Super Heroes has a new storyline never before seen by LEGO-game-kind.
With a whopping 180 characters found throughout the story mode, it’s like Marvel Superhero bingo.
The whole premise of the game revolves around Loki and Doctor Doom causing some havoc… like we didn’t see that coming. They’ve shattered the Silver Surfer’s surfboard, essentially making him the Silver Swimmer.
Now, with a new weapon, they’re causing chaos.
Your mission is to sift through the chaos while unlocking characters and basically laughing yourself silly at the zany antics of all the little Lego guys and gals!
9. Lego Worlds (2017)
LEGO Worlds is a brand new original adventure not based on a film or previous franchise.
That’s right, it’s wholly unique and an absolute blast from start to finish!
Have you ever played No Man’s Sky? Well, Lego worlds is kind of a stud and block version of the same idea, exploring generated worlds made from Lego and uncovering new secrets around every corner.
Of which there are many, as the world is made of bricks.
If you can make something out of LEGO, then you can make it in Lego Worlds. It’s a Minecraft fan’s dream, allowing users to build everything from canyons to castles.
Heck, riding around on elephants and dragons is also possible too. The list of things you can do in this game is endless!
10. The Lego Movie 2 Videogame (2019)
Last up on our list of the best LEGO games on Nintendo Switch is the epic The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame.
If you enjoyed the first movie, then the second will be just as exciting. And if you enjoyed the first game, then the second offering is more of the same with a little bit extra added in for good measure.
For those of you that haven’t seen the movie, I’ll try to fill you in a little on what’s happening in the game.
Aliens have destroyed the peaceful sights of Bricksburg and stolen Emmet’s beloved LEGO pals. This mission takes you off the planet and into space, travelling through the Systar System!
Build, explore, and thwart the aliens that have cause such a ruckus. The blocky worlds are so cleverly put together and look incredibly swish, especially on the new OLED Switch!
