If you’re looking to grab Sneasler or Weaville, then join us as we discover how to evolve Sneasel in Pokemon Legends: Arceus!
Yes, sneaky little Sneasel is back in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, and this time there are two different variants for players to obtain.
That’s right; the new Hisui fighting variant, and the classic Johto Dark/Ice type.
The cool part is that both Sneasels turn into different Pokemon when evolved.
Hisui Sneasel evolves into Sneasler, whereas Johto Sneasel evolves into Weaville.
Talk about keeping us on our toes!
Here’s all the information you need to know for completing your Sneasel family tree and some of those Pokedex research challenges at the same time!

Where To Find Hisui Sneasel In Pokemon Legends: Arceus?
Hisui Sneasel usually hangs out in two different areas in Pokemon Legends: Arceus; the Coronet Highlands and the Alabaster Icelands.
It’s possible to find Sneasel in the Coronet Highlands around the Primeval Grotto area, and in the Alabaster Icelands, it likes to chill out (literally) near both the Glacier Terrace and Avalugg’s Legacy.
You might need to do a little battling to get Hisui Sneasel to a point where you can catch it, so keep your wits about you and watch out for those attacks.
How To Evolve Hisui Sneasel In Pokemon Legends: Arceus?
In order to evolve Hisui Sneasel into Sneasler in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, players need to use the Razor Claw item on it during the day time.
That’s important; it’ll only work during daylight.
In oder to obtain the Razor Claw, simply trade 1400 merit points for the item in that most humble of shops, the Trading Post in Jubilife Village.
Alternatively, you can actually pick up a razor claw by defeating the Hisui Sneasel in battle. I
t’s still pretty random as to whether you’ll pick one up or not, but at least it’ll go someway towards you completing the research in your Pokedex for Professor Laventon.
Where To Find Johto Sneasel In Pokemon Legends: Aeceus?
To get Johto Sneasel in Pokemon Legends, players must take a stroll around those eerie Space-Time Distortions in the Obsidian Highlands.
Whereas Hisui Sneasel is somewhat of an early riser, you’ll have to do a bit of night prowling when it comes to the Johto variant…
… especially if players want to evolve it into Weaville.
Once again, Space-Time-Distortions are completely random, so we can’t tell you when and where a Johto Sneasel will appear. Do the rounds, and if you’re unsuccessful, warp back to Jubilife Village and then try again.
Still, Johto Sneasel doesn’t go down without a fight.
If you’re planning on catching one, then I’d recommend going in with at least a Great or Ultra ball and wearing it down with attacks and items to at least a quarter of its overall health.
How To Evolve Johto Sneasel In Pokemon Legends: Arceus?
To evolve Johto Sneasel into Weaville, players simply need to use the Razor Claw during the night.
Just to be perfectly clear, we don’t want to see any sunlight for this process… got it?
It’s entirely plausible that players might come across a Weaville in the same Space Time Distortions, so make sure to pack smoke bombs, potions, and lots of other items just in case things go awry.
And that’s a wrap!
Thank’s for checking out this article on how to evolve Sneasel in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. I hope that both Sneasler and Weaville prove fine additions to your team (even though Sneasler is 100-times cooler than Weaville… but you didn’t hear that from me).
