Pikachu has remained the most popular Pokemon ever since. He even ending up being voiced by none other than Ryan Reynolds in the live action Detective Pikachu movie, which truly demonstrates Pikachu’s iconic status.
Though Pokemon Legends: Arceus takes us way back to the dawn of the relationship between humans and Pokemon, Pikachu can still be found in the wilderness of Sinnoh.

Where To Find Pikachu In Pokemon Legends: Arceus?
You can find Pikachu on land in the Nature’s Pantry area of the Obsidian Fieldlands. Or, if you’re feeling adventurous, head to the Alabaster Icelands.
You can also happen upon Pikachu in either the Bonechill Wastes or Heart’s Crag via Space-Time Distortions there.
Regardless of where you try to find Pikachu, be aware that its spawn rate is pretty low.
If you happen to come across the even rarer unevolved form of Pikachu – Pichu – which you can find in the Floaro Gardens or Nature’s Pantry areas of the Obsidian Fieldlands, we’d definitely recommend trying to catch them and evolving them into Pikachu.
How To Evolve Pichu Into Pikachu In Pokemon Legends: Arceus?
Evolving Pichu is relatively straightforward, if a little abstract.
You simply need to have a high friendship rating with Pichu during the daytime – and it’ll be ready to evolve into its more recognisable Pikachu form!
How To Raise Friendship Levels In Pokemon Legends Arceus?
The Friendship Level of a Pokemon can range between 0-225. When it reaches 160 or higher, consider it high enough for your Pocket Monster to evolve.
In order to raise Friendship, the easiest method is to simply break mineral rocks or use a specific Pokemon to shake a tree. Each time you do one of these actions, it’ll raise the Friendship Level of the Pokemon you use by 1 point.
Levelling up Pokemon or winning a battle with them also raises Friendship.
How To Check Friendship Levels In Pokemon Legends Arceus?
It’s surprisingly difficult to actually check on the Friendship Level of your Pokemon, but very straightforward once you know how.
The only method available is to talk to Bellamy near the Sheep pens in Jubilife Village.
However, to unlock the ability to talk to Bellamy, you’ll first need to complete quest 7 – ‘The Frenzy of the Lord of the Woods’ – and request 28, Measuring Your Compatibility’.
What Do Bellamy’s Answers Mean?
Talk to Bellamy, then select the Pokemon whose Friendship Level you’d like to check. He’ll then give you a slightly cryptic answer which will tell you what Friendship Level your Pokemon is at. The most important answers are as follows:
- If he says ‘it can still be better’, the Friendship Level is between 100-149.
- If Bellamy says ‘you must be great partners’, your Friendship Level with that Pokemon is between 150 and 199.
- When he says the relationship is ‘excellent’, that means the Friendship Level is between 200 and 254.
- Lastly, if Bellamy tells you it’s at its maximum, that means your Friendship Level is 255.
So there you have it – you should now be fully armed with all of the information on how to catch Pikachu in Pokemon Legends: Arceus!
