Get ready to show Skull Kid who’s boss in handheld mode as Majoras Mask Switch drops this February!

That’s right; the epic sequel to Ocarina of Time is dropping onto the Switch in a few weeks time, adding to the ever growing list of best Zelda games available to play on Nintendo’s hybrid hero.

Nintendo Switch Online is the gift that keeps on giving. Just a few days ago at the time of writing, Banjo Kazooie Switch dropped into our live, letting us relive all of the fun-filled frolics of our favourite Bear ‘n’ Bird duo.

And now, Zelda fans can play both epic N64 Zelda adventures back to back on modern TVs without making their eyes bleed.

Here’s everything we know!

Majoras Mask Switch - Handheld Mode Gameplay

Getting Ready For The Majoras Mask Switch Release!

Don’t Look Up might have Netflix viewers worrying about a comet hurtling towards the earth, but Link has enough to worry about with the Moon crashing down towards Clock Town!

That’s right folks; it’s time to take a trip back to Termina to stop Skull Kid and save the world… how hard can it be?

Majora’s Mask is now the 12th N64 game to be released for the Nintendo Switch Online platform alongside Mario Kart 64, Mario Tennis, and Lylat Wars.

Ok, so many of you have probably played Majoras Mask 3D, one of the best Nintendo 3DS games. Still, having the option to play in both docked and handheld mode trumps the 3DS version hands down every time.

It’s all about that seamless play!

What Is Majoras Mask?

Anyone asking this question should take a long hard look at themselves in the mirror. To be honest, I’m questioning whether you should even be on this site!

Ok, now I’ve got the anger out of the way, let’s continue.

Majoras Mask revolves around a 3-day cycle system, meaning that players must control time in order to succeed.

Definitely a job for the hero of time then, eh?

When a naughty Skull Kid with a strange mask steals Link’s horse and turns him into a Dek Scrub, stuff gets real very quickly. Then the moon starts to fall, and all hell breaks loose.

Not only does Link have to return Majoras Mask to the Happy Mask Salesman, but he must defeat some bosses, collect other masks, and then fight the Skull Kid.

Cue the incredible Fierce Deity Mask, my favourite part of this game!

How Do I Get Majoras Mask On Switch?

Just like Ocarina of Time and the other ports of the best N64 games, players can get hold of a copy of Majoras Mask Switch by visiting Nintendo Switch Online!

If you’re not already signed up, the N64 expansion pack costs just £34.99/$49.99 for a full year!

That’s worth it just to play Ocarina, Majoras Mask, and Banjo Kazooie alone!
