Well, it turns out that a Zeldalicious set could soon be joining the ranks in the form of the impenetrable Hyrule Castle from Breath of the Wild.

Here’s everything we know and some sneak peaks at the set itself!

Zelda BOTW Lego set - Inside Hyrule Castle

Take A Look At The Zelda BOTW Lego Hyrule Castle Set!

Here it is folks, the latest Zelda BOTW Lego set from Brick Gallery.

Eagle-eyed Lego fans might already know that name… and there’s a very good reason for it.

A couple of years ago, Brick Gallery pitched a Hyrule Castle idea based on our favourite Zelda adventure which was ultimately rejected.

Now, back for another bite of the hearty fried greens, things are looking much more positive.

You see, for a Lego Ideas creation to become a reality, it first has to reach 10,000 supporters. Brick Gallery achieved this last time with their first attempt, though Lego didn’t fall in love with it.

Now, with redesigned elements, new character looks, and a whole set of extra features, Brick Gallery is plumping for the big prize once again.

With 10,000 supporters on board once again, the Lego Ideas board are currently in the process of reviewing the new format.

Come on Lego; give Nintendo a call and get this thing moving!

What Features Does The Hyrule Castle Lego Set Come With?

Not only does this Zelda BOTW Lego set come with an incredible replica of Hyrule Castle, but it also comes with a whole host of good and evil characters to create the ultimate offline gaming experience.

In Brick Gallery’s previous offering, Link looked very stern, almost as though a Korok had kicked him in the Deku nuts.

Now, both he and Zelda look a lot more jovial like the Lego people of old, and they now appear alongside Koroks of all shapes and sizes, complete with their trademark masks!

In the other corner, however, weighing in at about 3’000 calamitous pounds, is Ganon in his warped monster form.

Old Pork Chop is joined by a flying Guardian sentry and a Bokoblin complete with club. The attention to detail is fantastic; man, I hope this becomes a reality.

So What Happens Next?

Once a project receives 10,000 supporters, it goes into an official review stage and is put before the Lego Ideas board.

The latest information on the project states”

A “LEGO Review Board” composed of designers, product managers, and other key team members will examine the idea. We’ll build concept models and determine if the concept meets our high standards for what it takes to be a LEGO product. This includes factors such as playability, safety, and fit with the LEGO brand. Every potential LEGO product goes through a process like this and must meet the same standards.

You know what they say; if at first you don’t succeed, try, try and try again. Perhaps Lego will appreciate Brick Gallery’s tenacity and determination…

… but will it be enough to coax Nintendo into negotiations?

We’ve had Lego Mario sets, Lego Sonic Sets, and Lego Luigi sets. Surely it’s time for a Lego Zelda set to drop.

I’m pretty sure all of us, myself included, would buy one the second it came out.

The most important hurdle might have been reached, but now the agonising wait begins. Keep checking back for more news on the projects development as and when we get it!
