1. Hyperkin HD Cable For Wii

Now, Hyperkin is a name that many people in the retro gaming world know and love, and their HD Cable for Wii is a solid product that provides great results.

Ok, so it’s not as compact as the other two products in this list, but it still allows you to play classic games like Metroid Prime 3: Corruption in 480p with super clear audio.

With 7ft of cable length, getting your favourite games up onto a HDTV isn’t a problem. It doesn’t matter if your Wii is glued to the ceiling or kept in an underground vault; this cable will reach the TV with ease.

At $22.99 it’s also the most expensive option on the board. But, if you value a brand name that you can trust, then you can’t go wrong with the Hyperkin seal of approval!

2. PORTHOLIC Wii to HDMI Converter

The instantly recognisable PORTHOLIC Wii to HDMI Converter takes the top spot in this list of the Best Nintendo Wii HDMI cables!

So it’s not technically a cable, but does that really matter? It’s compact, it’s incredibly portable, and it provides gamers with a crystal clear picture thanks to the inbuilt decoder chip.

That’s not a special kind of fry or crisp for those of you that love your chips!

Using this HDMI adapter couldn’t be simpler. Just plug it into the back of your Wii or Wii U and receive upscaled quality for games running at 480p.

It also comes in black if you have a black Wii, though the white one is cheaper. And, you can plug in headphones for playing incognito on both!

This adapter has received close to 10K reviews on Amazon so far, with an average rating of 4.5 stars.

10,000 gamers can’t be wrong, especially now we’ve thrown our opinion into the mix!

3. AUTOUTLET Wii to HDMI Converter

It might look exactly like the first product in our list of the best Nintendo Wii HDMI cables (and adapters), and it might do exactly the same job…

… but it’s got a different brand name on it, so it’s 100% different… alright?

Just plug the Autoutlet adapter into the back of your Wii, and away you go. It also supports up to 1080p gameplay and has an extra audio output if you want to play with headphones on.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re reading this from the US or in Europe; the adapter works in both NTSC and PAL territories. Plus, it comes with a 1M cable if you don’t already have one.

RESULT!

4. KAICO Wii HDMI Converter

The KAICO Nintendo Wii HDMI Adapter is one of the newest on this list and is built by a reputable company in the cable space.

KAICO have created HDMI cables for a wide range of consoles in the past, and typically have some great reviews by their customers.

KAICO were kind enough to send out their products for this review, but after taking it through our deep review process we were not impressed with this version, built specifically for the Nintendo Wii.

Their other cables that we have tested have worked well, but this connection showed only small signs of increased quality but while doing so it actually darkened the entire image.

So, there’s far too much sacrifice for a small amount of sharpness, making it a slightly annoying choice for myself to make everytime I use it.

With a HDMI adapter, you presume that the quality would only get better because why pay for a cable that makes something worse, right?

I hope KAICO work on this adapter in the near future as I believe if they make the image brighter it will make it a worthy purchase, but right now, there’s better competition on the market.
