Just look at this controller; it's a thing of beauty, huh? When 8BitDo announced that they were making the controllers for the Analogue 3D, I knew that we'd all be in safe hands. They're masters at making quality controllers, and the outcome was always going to be more comfortable and make the ache we used to get from claw-handing the original N64 remote a thing of the past.

As Analogue were making black and white variants of the 3D, it made sense for 8BitDo to mirror that and keep everything looking stylish and slick. But the existing controllers lack something - the spirit of the original N64 remote. Ok, I want something ergonomic and modern, but those coloured buttons are what made the N64 controller so special.

Now, N64 aficionados like me can get their hands on a Classic Grey variant of the Analogue 3D controller that pays homage to the original N64 remote complete with dark grey D-Pad, yellow C-buttons, and the iconic red start button. Button mashing that blue A button and green B button like the good old days is going to feel so sweet too!

The controller itself is priced at $44.99 and is available to pre-order now through the 8BitDo e-Shop. It's set to ship in January 2026, so if you want to play your Analogue 3D before then, you'll need to purchase one of the existing 8BitDo controllers.

All of the 8BitDo Analogue 3D controllers work with the Switch, Switch 2, Windows and Android devices as well as the 3D. This new remote will have Hall-effect joysticks, vibration and Turbo functions just like the existing controllers.

Will you be picking one up? I know I will, especially as I'll be playing a lot of multiplayer titles in my collection once my Analogue arrives!
