Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls – pre-orders for the newest Evercade machines are now available on Amazon! Blaze Entertainment announced the arrival of the newly unveiled EXP-R and VS-R consoles earlier this month, with a handheld and console offering dropping for us to continue experiencing Retro Games on new and exciting machines.

Then the company announced that Giga Carts were on the way, bigger cartridges that could hold more data from more modern retro games that dropped on CD, followed shortly by the announcement that Lara Croft would be the star of the first Giga cart release in a seemingly accidental leak by Amazon. Now, however, Amazon has made a legitimate listing of both the EXP-R and the VS-R available to pre-order.

This newest drop has me feeling like a kid in a candy store deciding which two gobstoppers to buy. Ultimately, they’re going to end up buying both because they simply can’t choose, and that’s what I’m going to do with the EXP-R and the VS-R. The EXP-R’s 800×480 IPS high-resolution screen and 4-5 hour battery life is going to make playing Tomb Raider on the go very enjoyable, and I love the idea that you can turn it 90 degrees for vertical gameplay too. But playing all those Evercade titles on your TV in 1080p with that controller looks equally as inviting – these two consoles are a Retro Gamer’s dream!

Both consoles come bundled with the Tomb Raider collection on a physical cartridge, giving players access to the original three games that first dropped on the PS1. The EXP-R and the VS-R are both set to ship on July 31st, so make sure to get your orders in now to avoid disappointment!
