We had the opportunity to sit down exclusively with the owner of Sendico to talk about all things importing collectables from Japan in our recent episode of The Retro Dodo Podcast.
It's the first time Alex Anikeev has been on a podcast, and he was more than happy to pop his cherry for our community!

The focus of the episode was on importing pop culture products from Japan, and how retro game collecting is booming thanks to western markets increasing that demand on games, but one piece of information he shared with us tingled my spider senses.
Alex shared the future of Sendico, announcing that they are working on a service that allows customers to buy larger items from Japan that can fit on traditional pallets to then be imported via sea freight. Shared at 29:08 mark.
Traditionally, Sendico has used air services to import their customers' winning auctions, and that makes sense due to the smaller packages and parcels that Sendico has limited itself to for this type of shipping. However, this new move will intrigue arcade machine collectors and those who want to bulk buy items from Japan.

Sendico will soon offer the ability to buy vintage arcade machines, claw machines, gashapon machines, pinball machines and an increase in the quantity of products that can fit in one package, due to the option of sending pallets internationally.
This will allow customers to bulk buy an enormous amount of products that fit onto a single pallet size and meet the measurement criteria of shipping pallets internationally.
Sendico are also planning on partnering with other Japanese retailers to increase the options of buying products from Japan, such as SNKR Dunk and maybe even Hardoff.
