The last few weeks have been great for those of us who use emulators on a regular basis. RetroAchievements is coming to Nintendo Wii, XBOX emulation is now on Android and iPhone gamers can test the first stage of Xbox 360 emulation.
Now, to add to the great news, popular PlayStation 3 emulator RPCS3 has announced that they are allowing users to add PlayStation 3 games via their emulator to their Steam Library, saving gamers time when switching between both applications on PC.

The RPCS3 team announced it on their X account, showcasing screenshots of a simple update that allows you to "manage game" and then to create a "Steam Shortcut" that pulls the game and adds it to your Steam Library.
Doing so allows you to launch the game and emulator via Steam, and it will even show your friends' list that you are playing the game, instead of the emulator. "Games can be launched directly from Steam, without going through the main RPCS3 UI" states RPCS3.

It also means you can use some of Steam's additional features, such as screen recording, screenshots, and logging your playtime, etc. It's a refreshing update that shows the team behind the emulator are working hard at making it the best it can possibly be.
It also has Steam Deck compatibility, but will require tinkering if you want to get the box art and all of the setup running smoothly.
