We have been wanting to build a retro gaming event for many months now. We've spent countless weeks consulting with experts, touring rental spaces, and experiencing other events in person to see what gamers like, and have concluded that we want to create something slightly different.
We want to build an intimate, small-scale, and limited gathering in one of our favourite retro game shops in the UK, for and with our community.

Instead of renting out an event space and ramming it with an array of stalls that you have to fight your way to the front too, we have decided to partner with Retro-Sect, an independent games shop, to create a more relaxed and personal event.
Yes, this means fewer people, but we aren't aiming to make money on this event, hence the free entry. We simply want to make a great event for our readers/viewers.
Retro-Sect is one of the best retro gaming shops in the UK. It has enough space to house 100+ people with plentiful parking and lots of nostalgic stock to explore. It's located close to the centre of the UK with ample outdoor space for a local pizza van and a coffee van, plus it has a selection of consoles to play on. So, all in all, it was a no-brainer for us!

Retro-Sect is located on an industrial estate which has space for up to 100 cars to park outside and around the store, with even more parking available on the roads adjacent to the store.

Apart from exploring the store's incredible selection of retro games, toys, and collectibles, and meeting fellow retro gamers, we want you to have a fun time for the 4 hours this event is on.
With that in mind, we're putting on the following:
Buy, Trade & Collect
Ben has thousands of items in his store available to buy and explore. If you're looking to add games to your collection, want to relive your childhood, or have hands-on experience with rare products, Retro-Sect will keep you occupied–that's for sure!
Pizza & Coffee Vans
We have invited Pizza Blues, a local wood-fired Pizza van, to the event, selling darn delicious pizzas and cold beverages! Not only that, but there will be a coffee van there too for those of us who need their caffeine hits.
Mario Kart N64 Time Challenge
It wouldn't be a gathering without Mario Kart! There will be a time challenge available to enter throughout the day; the quickest times recorded will win a bunch of prizes, so make sure to get your practice in!
Prizes will be donated by Retro Dodo and Retro-Sect!
Local Pokémon Trading
Bring your GAME BOY, bring your Nintendo DS, and bring any other console that you would like to trade Pokémon on. There will be a table specifically for those who want to trade. We'll leave our GAME BOY and cartridges there for those who finally want to catch those trade-exclusive Pokémon!
Meet Brands In Person
We will be inviting some of the UK's most popular retro gaming brands. Not only do we want you to witness vintage products, but we want you to see what's new in the gaming industry too. We'll have some cool new products on show and hopefully you can meet the people behind them too!
Say Hello To Retro Creators
One of the main reasons we wanted to put on this event was to simply meet the people behind our favourite publications and channels, so we will be inviting our favourite UK retro gaming creators to come along too!
So who knows, you might bump into one of your favourite influencers!
