I have been an avid collector of GAME BOY products for a very long time, from Toys R Us exclusives to Japanese cartridges that were made in limited quantities, I've got them.
One of the rarest games in my collection is Spud's Adventure, one of the rarest GAME BOY games ever made, and since founding Retro Dodo in 2019, I have never seen a boxed version; it's that rare.
Well, the time has come, and a listing of a boxed version has been found in the United Kingdom and is up for sale on eBay for £1,100 (roughly $1,470).

It's one of the rarest GAME BOY games there is, with cartridges selling for $500, and manuals going for $200 individually! It's very rare that a boxed version, with the cartridge and the manual, goes up for auction, but it's here.
I found it while writing an article for our upcoming Retro Relicsan episode, a article series dedicated to finding weird and wacky retro gaming products every month, and I was gobsmacked at what I found for sale.
It's the holy grail of GAME BOY games, and it's in pretty good condition too, which is again almost unheard of for a piece of cardboard that is 30 years old.

It's not like it's a random seller, too; this account has a history of selling over 300 products and a 100% positive feedback percentage, so the chances are, this is the real deal and it's from a trusted source.
If I didn't recently become a father of two, this would be something I would be adding to my collection for the sheer reason it's super rare and is likely on the hit-list for many GAME BOY collectors out there.
