Mangmi's Pocket Max handheld is one I am keeping an eye on, due to the recent surprising release of the Air Max that impressed us all here at Retro Dodo.
Mangmi are new to the handheld scene but are already turning heads, and the Pocket Max is the "first Android handheld with modular magnetic buttons".
The Air Max was priced reasonably at just $99, and now Mangmi have revealed the official pricing for the upcoming Pocket Max, starting at $239, or $199 for super early birds.

So, although not quite retailing for under $200, which many of us wanted, it's going to start competing with the Retroid Pocket 6, which I am currently reviewing, so it's going to be fun putting these two head to head.
Orders go live on 5th February 6pm PST, with super early bird pricing running for the first 7 days. There's also a normal "early bird" price for those buying after 12th February.
This will cost $219, and then eventually once Mangmi's early bird promotion runs out (yet to be announced), the Mangmi Pocket Max will retail for $239.
For those wanting to also buy the additional Mechanical Micro-Switch Modules, this will cost an additional $12, making the final retail pricing with modules over $250.

It comes in three colourways: White, Black and Retro GB, all costing the same, with no premium on the retro edition, which is good to see!
Mangmi are sending us one to review, which will arrive in the next couple of weeks, so be sure to subscribe to our newsletter to not miss out on our opinions and how it fares against the competition.
