MagicX entered the handheld scene with the popular Zero40 handheld, designed specifically to emulate Nintendo DS games on a single screen.
They had made handhelds before that, but this is the device that's worth your time. Though it didn't knock our socks off, it was one of the first on the market to innovate in the space when it comes to DS-focused devices.
Now we're seeing more come to fruition, like the beastly AYANEO Pocket DS, but this little sucker starts at $71 and not $400.
Today on their Discord Channel, they revealed that they are releasing a new colour-way called "Emerald Green", featuring a transparent shell which I know many of your Nintendo 64 and GAME BOY enthusiasts will enjoy.

Today on their Discord Channel, they revealed that they are releasing a new colour-way called "Emerald Green", featuring a transparent shell which I know many of your Nintendo 64 and GAME BOY enthusiasts will enjoy.
This new colour-way will be released on their website on 28th September. There is no information regarding the price or if it's limited in any way as of now, but if I had to guess, it will be the same price and not limited in any way.
It seems to be just the shell that is different from the images shared; I can't see any changes to buttons or analogue sticks, nor the internals. That said, it's a beautiful-looking device and I'm happy to see more colour choices from MagicX.
Hopefully, they do this with future models too! You can watch our video review below.
