The LEGO x Super Mario collaborations aren't slowing down this year. Shortly after the Luigi Mario Kart Set announcement, LEGO has revealed their first official Super Mario Mini Figure!

Showcased on their socials, it shows the tiny 4cm mini figure jumping out of a green pipe, featuring his unique plumber's outfit in blue and red.

It doesn't show what set this is going to be a part of, but this means it could be the start of us seeing the entire Super Mario lineup in mini figure form, which will undoubtedly excite many kids, retro gamers and LEGO collectors across the globe.

It's also making me think whether or not LEGO will integrate the smart brick into future Super Mario LEGO sets that contain this mini figure.

To me, it feels like a great fit, especially if they start selling "proper" sets that focus on teenagers and adults with iconic buildings and levels featuring mini figures and smart brick features.

Or we could all be dissapointed and this is just a tease of upcoming blind bags featuring Super Mario characters, but I don't think that's the case here.

It's a big tease, and one that I think will reveal large LEGO sets featuring one or more iconic Super Mario characters and levels, but only time will tell. We will have to wait until 2027 to see this official mini figure!
