GAMENOOK's first product is called The Throne, a display stand made from 100% plastic waste, custom designed to hold 100's of handhelds alongside 5 cartridges and up to 4 AA batteries.
It's the display stand I have always wanted. One that perfectly fits my GAMEBOYs and cartridges, so I can quickly grab and go when wanting to explore my cartridge library.
This is unlike any other display stand. We source plastic waste from public areas using litter picking events, we work with small businesses to take their waste instead of putting it landfill, and we collaborate with WaterHaul, a UK-based company that cleans fishing gear and waste from our oceans and coastlines.
This waste is converted into polymers or ground up to smaller pieces, and then injection moulded into an aluminium grade mould that we build specifically for this stand.
Each purchase helps clean our planet, and we'll even plant a tree per unit sold to not only help our current planet, but its future too.
It comes in two variants. A "Cluster" edition made from a mix of colourful plastics sourced from land, and then a "Coastal" edition that uses plastic waste sourced from our oceans.
It's a small business that we built from the ground up, with a unique idea to do something that the industry needs. We have more product ideas in the pipeline, but today, you can officially order a unit, and we'll ship it within a week!
