The GAME BOY camera is getting a lot of love this year, especially seeing it work on the Nintendo Switch 2, and I'm all for it, but this story here takes that love of the device to a literal level.

YouTuber by the name of There Outta Be has created another magnificent GAME BOY modification, one that replaces a classic wedding photo booth with a GAME BOY Camera inside of a GAME BOY Pocket.

He made this contraption for a friend who has a nostalgic love for GAME BOYs and modified it so that wedding go'ers can press a green button to start the countdown, and a red button to delete the image and take another picture.

A Raspberry Pi is used alongside the GB Interceptor to connect the GAME BOY to the buttons, and a DSLR is used to allow you to preview the videos/images on a screen before taking the shot.

The results are then printed using the classic GAME BOY Printer so friends and family can own something physical from the evening, how cool!

This is no easy task; the video above shows the technical intricacies of this setup and is built to be used for hours on end throughout the event. It's a magnificent invention and one that I am trying to convince my partner to replicate for our wedding.
