BitmoLab seems to have taken on board the small criticisms from our review of the original GAMEBABY case for the iPhone 16 Pro Max.
This was an iPhone case designed to work with emulators, which allows you to use real, phyiscal buttons attached to your screen that feel like you're using a retro handheld.
And for the most part, it did exactly that, creating a near-authentic experience for those who enjoy emulating their retro games on the go. It was sleek, well-designed, minimal and modern.

However, if you've not read our review, we mentioned the buttons were slightly inaccurate and the clasps on each side need far more strength.
Well, it looks like BitmoLab have made some changes to the case alongside the reveal of their iPhone 17 Pro/Max versions, which will be on sale "soon".
They've also shown off a new GAMEBOY DMG colour-way too, which I personally prefer. It keeps the nostalgic colours while being a little more minimal when out in public.

From what I can see, there have been a few minor adjustments to the controller section of the case.
They have removed the action button above A/B, making me believe there may be some changes to the controller theme on-screen, too.
The start/select and menu buttons are now diagonal, likely taking inspiration from the original GAME BOY. The Yellow variant still keeps the metal-looking buttons, whereas the grey version seems to look more like a matte finish.

BitmoLab informed us that they have indeed "improved the buttons", so we're hoping this will feel much more premium than the iPhone 16 version once officially released later this month.
Hopefully, these refinements and new look will make this the ultimate iPhone case for those who like to emulate GAMEBOY games via the Delta Emulator on the App Store.
It's good to see BitmoLabs listen to their audience, and we'll be sure to get a unit in to review, so be sure to subscribe to our newsletter to be the first to read it!
