In typical fashion, as I just finish my written and video review of the AYANEO Pocket Vertpeople's, another device is on its way for me to review.
The Pocket S Mini was a handheld that was announced in a livestream many weeks ago, and due to AYANEO's recent backlash of prolonged crowdfunding shipping, it seems like they're ripping the band-aid off this one to show they're doing things differently now.
Which I am all for. As I mentioned in my recent video, I don't understand why a company as big as AYANEO are still "crowdfunding". They're big enough to hard launch now.
With that said, AYANEO's Pocket S Mini is now available to purchase, and shipping will start just "7 - 10 days" after purchase. So these things are ready to go and will start landing in people's hands this month.
What is the AYANEO Pocket S Mini?

The AYANEO Pocket S Mini is "a true 4:3 premium Android handheld" featuring a 4.2" display (12280 x 960 - 60hz), a Spdragon G3x Gen 2 CPU, 8GB RAM, hall-joysticks, hall-triggers, compacted intoa small form-factor with a front-glass design and a CNC metal middle frame.
AYANEO clearly want to create a premium version of the popular AYANEO Pocket Air Mini that sold thousands of units over the last few months, and for good reason, it's incredible.
However, this Pocket S Mini starts at $319, which is a price tag many of us will snuffle at, likely because many of us already have a 4:3 handheld that we're happy with.

AYANEO have a tendency to overstuff these devices with the latest chips and too much power, power which we don't end up using on a small 4" display like this.
I may be wrong, and I'll share my thoughts in a written review when it lands on my desk, but this is certainly a niche device for those who have a larger budget and want a super-powerful 4:3 device.
AYANEO Pocket S Mini Shipping Times

- Order now → Ships in 7–10 days
- Order before February 10 → Ships before February 12 (before Chinese New Year)
- Orders after February 10 → Ship between February 26 and March 5
It will be interesting to see how the Pocket S Mini performs in terms of sales, not only because of the overwhelming state of the Android handheld market right now, but also because there is just an overwhelming ammount of choice right now.
But because this is AYANEO's first time in a long time shadow launching a handheld like this.
