The rising cost of storage components is causing havoc across the handheld industry. Retroid and AYN have increased their prices, and now AYANEO has had to follow suit.
The best time to buy a retro handheld was yesterday, but thankfully for AYANEO, they've given their community a heads up, stating that they have very low inventory of the Pocket Vert and Pocket S Mini, which will remain at the current price for now.
But future stock will have a price increase once that batch arrives in their factory: "These models have seen strong demand in recent periods, and inventory is now very limited. We are also planning price increases for these products soon, so we strongly encourage anyone interested to make a purchase as early as possible".

The following AYANEO products will get a price increase "soon":
That's alongside a handful of their products already being out of stock. It seems like AYANEO are having a big shift in business and stock levels recently, a shift that will likely bring better outcomes for us as customers.
They had a wobble with their customer service recently, which they are focusing on resurrecting, and now these price increases will certainly make it harder to obtain some customers, especially considering the increased shipping fees, too, which is affecting all of us around the world.
As of now, there's no specific date of when the prices will increase, nor how much by, but I think it's easy to expect a 10% - 15% increase across the board with AYANEO's products, so if you've been waiting to pull the trigger on a Pocket Vert or S Mini, now is the time to grab one.
I have reviewed the Pocket Vert,, and was very impressed with it, even if the touchpad was a little gimmicky. It's a high-end, premium vertical Android for those who want a metal body, a high-res display, and a minimal glass build.
