Secretly hidden in a YouTube video by AYANEO about the specifications and pricing of the newly announced Pocket Air Mini you will find a new handheld from AYANEO.
Another device dedicated to retro gamers, officially called the Pocket S Mini, is a smaller, more affordable version of the Pocket S with the same Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 chipset.
This time, the Mini version comes with a smaller 4:3 display and a design specifically built for that screen ratio, just like the Pocket Air Mini, which seems to be a recent trend from them.
Announcement starts at the 5:17 mark.
There has been very little information regarding the specifications, pricing and display, but I can imagine it will likely be a bit more expensive in comparison to the Pocket Air Mini, targetting those that want something a little more luxurious.
The front glass display, slim body, and bezel-less display will certainly please those who are obsessed with AYANEO's designs.
But what is known is that this is going to be a true "flagship 4:3" device, hopefully ticking all of the 4:3 gamers "boxes" so to speak.

It will be released in March 2026 and may follow a similar crowdfunding campaign to other AYANEO devices. But only time will tell.
It's as if AYANEO has seen the huge success by competitors such as ANBERNIC and GoRetroid, and are now going all out to take a slice of that pie. Is it too late, or will they swoop up the leftovers with "premium" budget handhelds?
