The AYANEO Pocket Vert was teased way back in July, stating that this would be a true masterpiece and made with premium materials.
Well, they were not lying. It looks like the Pocket Vert will be made with a CNC-machined body, which will no doubt feel as incredible as their AYANEO Pocket Micro, which was also made of metal.
To match the metal body, they are adding something called "diamond cut" shoulder buttons. To mean, this sounds like they could also be made of metal, or a high-quality plastic that gives off the visual appearance of a diamond.

Likely made using a highly reflective and polished material. This is something we haven't seen before, not even in the ModRetro Chromatic, so this intrigues me deeply.
Images show a very sharp design style, but minimal, luxurious, and elegant. AYANEO has stated that this is going to be the ultimate creation for retro handheld enthusiasts who love handheld vertical gaming.
The display was apparently "born for retro gaming" and features an incredibly high resolution display, coming in at 1600x1440, with a PPI of 615, allowing pixel-perfect upscaling to 10x. Woah.

This sounded familiar to me, and that's because it's the exact same screen specifications as the Analogue Pocket. So I believe they are using the same display here, but I'll know more when this comes in for review.
AYANEO likes to claim "world's firsts" so they have twisted that this is "perhaps" the sharpest, highest resolution screen on an Android handheld, likely meaning vertical.
And from experience, this is indeed a beautiful, bright display, perfect for outdoor gaming, so I am looking forward to seeing this in the flesh.
It looks beautifully crafted, and will feel incredibly (and heavy) in the hands. It's likely going to be a very expensive device too, and AYANEO has stated that this is a "collectable for retro gamers", which to me is "this is expensive AF, and limited".
But only time will tell. AYANEO make some of the best handhelds around, and I'm sure they can pull this off. It will likely be released on Indiegogo, but we'll keep you informed via our newsletter once it does.
