ATARI love their collaborations, and this time they are teaming up with Bandai Namco to launch an Atari x PAC-MAN™ Collection featuring a wide range of new products.
To mark PAC-MAN's 45th anniversary since launching in arcades, the ATARI 2600+ now comes in a limited PAC-MAN colourway, including stylised Ghost Joysticks and an all-new PAC-MAN game for the console.
This new console comes in signature yellow, featuring character icons and illustrations across the front and is bundled with the 2-in-1 cartridge called PAC-MAN: Double Feature. Pre-orders start on the 23rd July at Plaion for $169.99.

The new 2-in-1 cartridge features PAC-MAN 7800, a brand new, arcade-style version of the classic that we all love, perfect for collectors and PAC-MAN enthusiasts. Secondly, you can also play PAC-MAN 2600, the very first home console release of the game.
You can also snag PAC-MAN edition CX40+ Wireless Joysticks too, in up to five different colours, each representing the iconic ghosts, Blinky, Inky, Pinky, and Clyde, plus a classic Yellow for the main man himself.

If that wasn't enough for you, ATARI are also releasing a collection of classics for the ATARI 7800, featuring Galaga, Dig DUg, Xevious and the all-new PAC-MAN Double Feature game.
Each comes packaged individually in exclusive collectors' packaging. This High Score Collection will cost $139.99, or you can snag normal editions separately for $34.99. The choice is yours!
Because the San Diego Comic-Con is coming up they've decided to go all in on the event and create 1,000 exclusive Golden Box Editions of PAC-MAN: Double Feature. Each $100 set includes the 2-in-1 cartridge in one of the five ghost colours (and yellow) with a limited edition patch or pin.
"The Atari x PAC-MAN Collection is a celebration for fans of classic games, unique hardware and the timeless appeal of the PAC-MAN franchise. This collaboration honors our legacy together, bringing something truly special and rare to fans and collectors alike".
Matt Burnett, VP of Strategic Operations at Atari

It's always fun to see what ATARI are up to, and I very much appreciate the continued love for the ATARI 2600+ console, it was a much-welcomed modern upgrade, and now that it comes in a rare edition, we may just have to keep an eye on it again!
