Another month, another ANBERNIC handheld! This time, fans of the PS Vita will certainly enjoy seeing this release as it takes a whole lot of design inspiration from one of Sony's most popular handhelds.
Today on ANBERNIC's official YouTube channel, they revealed the RG Vita, and RG Vita Pro. These are 16:9 handhelds inspired by the PS Vita, featuring an array of modern specs that have become oh so popular in the handheld scene this year.
For example, this features an all-glass front, with a 5"ish display, LED hall-joysticks and 5,000mAh of battery.
No official specifications have been announced; this is all simply speculation from what I can see in their promotional video.
I can imagine this will certainly entice a lot of retro gamers who love this layout, and the Vita Pro version suggests it will come with a basic, cheaper version alongside a more powerful version that may compete with the Retroid Pocket 6 and Mangmi Pocket Max.
Hopefully, ANBERNIC sorts out their terrible Android front-en,d but it's something I've been asking for over two years now, so customers will likely look elsewhere on Android's Play Store for something that fits this aesthetic a bit more.
No doubt ANBERNIC will nail the design and build quality like they usually do, although I would have liked to have seen shapes on the action buttons instead of the Nintendo layout.
But I believe these have been copyrighted from Sony, so I can't imagine ANBERNIC want to prod the snake even further. We look forward to getting our hands on this one to review!
