Analogue Delays 3D N64 After Telling Customers Yesterday It's Coming "This Month"

Analogue Delays 3D N64 After Telling Customers Yesterday It's Coming "This Month"

Just yesterday, a Retro Dodo reader informed us that they got in touch with Analogue to ask when their Analogue 3D will be arriving (which many of us have been wondering). An official reply was sent to this person stating that "it is arriving this month, and you will be contacted shortly with a confirmation".

Well, just like last time, that was a lie, and Analogue has now made yet another delay, stating that the Analogue 3D will now ship in August instead.

It was originally going to ship in "Q1 of 2025", then it moved to "July" and now here we are with another delay stating August, which is over half a year away from the original planned launch.

Analogues official statement.

Now, I am slightly annoyed. Not at the fact that I will have to wait a bit longer to experience the Analogue 3D, but the fact that I have now lost trust in a brand that I previously respected and have spent a considerable amount of money with.

It's not even the fact that it's delayed; it simply comes down to the way that they handle their customers... with disrespect and zero transparency.

Their social feeds are filled with mass-scheduled videos/images of video games instead of replying to their fan base via replies. Their emails are automated with responses that give users false hope and builds mistrust. And there's not a single bit of footage or new photography that shows the product in action to keep customers who spent hundreds if not thousands of dollars updated.

That's before mentioning the fact that Analogue worked on more expensive limited edition versions of their Pocket before stocking their standard and cheaper versions of the handheld throughout 2023 and 2024.

Something feels off with the company and I can't quite put my finger on it.

Yes, there's no denying that they make great products but the obvious disregard to customers across socials and customer service emails is disrespectful and easy way to deter customers away from your brand and to the lkes of ModRetro who do a much better job at engaging with their community and are soon to be revealing their Nintendo 64 console, named the M64.

Come on Analogue, do better.
