CES is just around the corner which means many companies who are attending have started to tease the products that they will be showcasing.
First up is a company we thoroughly respect, and that's 8BITDO, who have teased a USB-C accessory that works with iPhones and Android smartphones.
This accessory offers a retro-focused controller with a DPAD and action buttons that allow you to pair it with applications and emulators so that you can use comfortable controlls instead of a touchpad.
It's all the trend recently. We reviewed the GAMEBABY Case from BitmoLab that adds phyiscal retro buttons to a case, and we also have abxylute's M4 MagSafe accessory that we are in the process of reviewing.

This device was shared on 8BitDo's X account with a short video, which appears to have the accessory fold onto the display titled "a flip-style gamepad", which if I had to guess allows for users to flip it off when wanting to access emulator or application settings that sit under it, just like the Delta Emulator, which is going to be the most popular app that this is paired with.
It comes in classic GAME BOY DMG colours, with start select buttons and 6 other buttons hidden around the gamepad to help with app/emulator settings, which will certainly come in handy.
The FlipPad will launch in "Summer 2026" and can be seen at CES 2026 at LVCC Central Hall, Booth #15641 should you be attending.
