Rayman is one of gaming’s most iconic characters and has spanned multiple platforms over the years, but when are we going to see a new Rayman game coming to the fold?
Rayman Legends was, and still is, one of the greatest games that we’ve ever played, a true Rayman adventure filled with wild and wacky scenarios.
And let’s not forget the supporting characters; The Magician doesn’t stand a chance with Rayman and his pals teaming up to save the day!
Remember Admiral Razorbeard too in the early titles, and mobile games like Rayman Kart?
It’s safe to say that we’re fans, and we’ve been trawling the internet to get all of the solid facts and speculations about a potential new Rayman game.
Here’s what we’ve discovered!

Is There Going To Be A New Rayman Game?

Sources suspect that there will be a new Rayman game, brought to us off the back of Rayman’s reintroduction in a Switch popular series.
Let’s look at some of the other facts first though before we get there.
Ubisoft have publicly come out with the statement that Rayman doesn’t sell as many titles as its more ‘serious games’ like Assassin’s Creed. They prefer making games tailored specifically to adults.
I mean, Rayman is an absolute legend no matter what age you are, so I think they’ve got that one seriously wrong.
Having said that, Ubisoft do make the ultra popular Mario + Rabbids games, an offshoot series from Rayman… but I’ll get onto that in a second.
Rayman’s original creator has also left Ubisoft in order to pursue a new career with wild animals.
Can you get any more wild than the Rabbids?
What Rumours Are Spreading About A New Rayman Game?

That’s right: Rayman is appearing back in a Rabbid’s game as a playable character thanks to the new DLC.
What happens when we see an old character being brought back to the fray in such a secret and exciting way? We start to reminisce about said character and go back to check out all their games.
Are you telling me that when you played Super Smash Bros. Ultimate you didn’t go back to check out Lylat Wars, F-Zero X, and all the other classic titles the characters are from?
It’s the perfect marketing ploy, and it’s also the perfect chance to bring Rayman back to the fold.
The appeal for Rayman is still there, despite Ubisoft saying that he doesn’t do that well anymore. Just look at games like Hollow Knight and Child of Light; they’re basically built on the same principals as the Rayman games, for crying out loud!
And just because his creator has left Ubisoft doesn’t mean that we’re not going to see him again. Kermit the Frog’s voice actor changed recently but they didn’t put Kermit into storage!
We’re also hearing chatter about Rayman getting another mobile game after the success of Rayman Run. While we’d prefer Rayman back on a home console, this wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world, especially thanks to mobile gaming controllers like the Razer Kishi V2.
New Rayman Game Release Date

Sources suggest that we won’t be seeing a New Rayman home console game until at least Spring 2026.
So, you better hold off putting it it on your Christmas list for a few years.
We know that Ubisoft isn’t currently working on the game, but the idea is there and, thanks to the fans losing their freaking minds with Rayman’s return in the Mario + Rabbids franchise, we and the wider internet are confident that they’re going to put him back into production.
Of course, there’s always the the chance that we’ll get a remastered version of Rayman legends in the meantime, just like Nintendo did with Metroid Prime: Remastered to keep us happy until the Metroid Prime 4 Release Date.

Ori & The Will Of The Wisps is the best game like Rayman currently available to play.
It recently topped our list of the best games like Hollow Knight too, and that’s high praise in itself!
Set in a rich, colourful, side-scrolling world, this game is full of wonder and has that same kind of exciting depth to its levels as Rayman Legends.
And it’s 100% as addictive as Rayman in every single way!

Rayman is the titular character from the Rayman series, a group of platforming games that have spanned from the PS1 to the Nintendo Switch.
He’s a character with no neck, arms or legs that still manages to run around and move its head, which makes him a medical marvel in many respects!

That’s just under a quarter of the number of Mario games out there but way more than the number of Zelda games we’ve seen thus far.
And Ubisoft are telling us that the people don’t like Rayman; the guy is an institution!

It’s appeared on so many platforms including the Nintendo Switch, PS4, Wii U, Xbox One, PS Vita, and many more!
