It’s not often we cover leaks here at RetroDodo, but because it’s Crash Bandicoot we just had too!
Taiwan’s Digital Game Rating Committee has unfortunately, or fortunately rated a game called “Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time on their website.
Apparently Crash Bandicoot 4 will be available on Playstation 4 and Xbox One. There’s no sign of Nintendo Switch as of yet, but we won’t be surprised if that gets ported a few months after its launch.
There’s also no indication that Crash Bandicoot for will be available on Playstation 5 or Xbox Series X.

The only real information leaked is the box art, and if anything looks pretty legit.
We can’t really tell what the story line will be just from the box art but you can bet your apples that it’s something to do with time travel, and jumping between universes.
Crash Bandicoot and Tawna seem to be surfing through a portal, which could further indicate they are travelling through time.
Gematsucom, the twitter use who found this leak on the Taiwan Games Board also discovered a product description which gives more information about the gameplay:
Crash is relaxing and exploring his island in his time, 1998, when he finds a mysterious mask hidden away in a cave, Lani-Loli. The mask is one of the Quantum Masks and apparently knows Aku-Aku, Crash’s mask friend! With the Quantum Masks returning and the Quantum Rift appearing near our heroes, they decide to bravely head through to different times and dimensions to stop whoever is responsible.
So it seems our prediction is right, and from the box art, you can see a number of different “Quantum Masks”. This looks like a fun way to zap through new levels, discover new enemies and take a look at a new Crash Bandicoot, like we’ve never seen him before.
We’ll be getting our hands on it when it releases.
Update: it looks as if even more screenshots has been leaked as of 21st June 2020, even a release date. See the screenshots below for even more Crash Bandicoot 4 goodness! These leaks were released on ResetERA and it seems the release day for Crash Bandicoot 4 is October 9th 2020.
