With excitement hotting up over the upcoming PS5 release, gamers across the globe are starting to ask themselves one simple question; ‘which one of the best PS5 panels do I use to pimp up my new console?’
That’s right; games developers and enthusiasts are already coming up with designs for the best PS5 panels to transform a console that hasn’t even dropped yet.
Here’s everything we know about the new design trend and what the best PS5 panels are!
1. DBRAND Matte Black Panel

DBRAND is renowned for making some of the best wraps and skins for a wide number of electronics. As of December 23rd, DBRAND lifted the cover on their matte black PS5 panels.
Due to the rush of demand for blank PS5 panels these matte black panels are going to be very limited. They have yet to fully release them nor give any information about the price, but you can visit their website using the button below to signup to their newsletter.
DBRAND are known for their quality and superb customer service, so this is on the top of our list for those exact reasons.
It will be durable, it will fit perfectly and you can bet your butts that DBRAND will make some of the best PS5 panels around when they start releasing new styles throughout the year.
2. CptnAlex Custom PS5 Panels

We’ve worked with CptnAlex on many of occasions, this is due to his talent in creating custom shells, panels and faceplates for any kind of games console.
His most recent creation is dedicated to making the best PS5 panels as custom as possible. Previously he made the dual sided Spider-Man edition PS5 Panels and next he is working with us to create something very, very retro.
This will be featured on our YouTube channel in January, we don’t even know what he’s done so subscribe to watch the surprise as soon as it’s uploaded!
Each PS5 panel is designed around the new Miles Morales game, and you can even get Alex to create you a custom PS5 controller to go alongside it.
Each set of panel costs roughly $70 to build, but you will need to send in your own panels for Alex to work on them, as there’s currently no way to buy spare panels from Sony.
He’s a talented young man with a passion for gaming, and it always feel nice purchasing from him as he takes pride in his work and his community.
3. TREZN Skins
Originally the company behind TREZEN built another business called Platestation, then before that one called Customise My Plates which unfortunately got in trouble with Sony due to copyright infringement, so they’ve now moved to skins which you stick onto your PS5 panels.
Now we’ll be honest, these aren’t the best quality skins we’ve seen, we have our own blue skins from them, and you can certainly tell that the business and product have been developed a little too quickly.
But apart from that it is a very cost effective way of pimping your PS5 if you don’t want to pay full price for some of the best PS5 panels around.
You will need to take time to stick on the skin, and no doubt you’ll find flaws in it but what we like about their products is the mass selection of choices to customise your PS5 with.
They are constantly bringing out new designs, and even team up with some of the community to build custom ones like their new Cyberpunk 2077 design.
If you want something cheap, and have a good hand at adding decals to consoles, then this is a good choice to make your console a little different.
Their skins start around $20 which is a fair price seeing as they just cut out the skin, but they do also have more extravagant styles that can go up to $50. Which in all honesty is ludicrous but hey, some of you may like them!
4. My Game Armor

If you want cheap and cheerful then My Game Armor is the place to go. They are based in the US, so it should arrive quickly for you folk in the states, but for Europe and beyond shipping may take up to a week.
The good things about these PS5 panels is simply down to the minimalistic nature and affordable price. They start at $40, are swiftly shipped and fit your PS5 like a glove.
There’s no jazz here. No custom design, no sticking of skins, a plain and simple shell that has a new colour to make your PS5 pop. You don’t even need to send in your current panels, these are brand new panels ready to be installed from the get go.
Picking Out The Best PS5 Panels
What Are PS5 Panels?

The official word on the street is that, unlike previous PlayStation consoles that have required the strength of Thor in order to remove their external panels, the PS5 has an easy-to-remove casing which lends itself nicely to customisation options.
Sony choosing to go down the removable panel route for their new console is a very clever idea.
It means that instead of releasing limited edition consoles every time a new game comes out or a franchise anniversary hits, they can pop a hundred-thousand of the new best PS5 panels on a production line and let gamers swap and chose their designs as they like!
How Do They Work?

It’s as simple as clipping off the old cover and sticking a new one in it’s place.
Imagine an old PC tower; it’s the same principle, and you don’t need to mess around picking off glue or buying a special screwdriver off eBay that ends up coming in the wrong size…
And if the console can be customised, then you better believe that we’re going to see some amazing skins for the PS5 controller too.
It’s just a shame couch-coop doesn’t really exist anymore, otherwise you could band-together with your mates and create the ultimate multiplayer set-up!
What Designs Are Available?
We’ve become obsessed with searching through the internet to find mock-ups of the best PS5 panels, and there are some stunning examples cropping up from various design companies and solo-developers out there.
The Miles Morales custom skin design made by Snoreyn & Lets Go Digital below could well be the best-looking console that we’ve ever seen!

It looks as though you could strap it to your chest and start shooting webs just like Spidey himself!
You can expect all of the latest titles to be made available as designs for the best PS5 panels when the console is released. From the PS4 epic ‘Ghosts of Tsushima through to the new Resident Evil: Village’, there will sure to be a custom design that matches one of the best PS5 games that you’re dying to play.
Where Can I Buy The Best PS5 Panels?

For now, the best PS5 panels are still being designed. Peripheral artists and creators like Captn Alex have shown a yearning to start production on new panels right away.
CptnAlex has been teasing Twitter fans with the new designs for his PS5 over the last couple of weeks, and the end results look incredible.
With dual panels showing love for both Peter Parker and Miles Morales, these are two of the best PS5 panels for spider-sense-tingling adventures!
Check out those controllers close up!
With the ‘Cptn’s’ skills alongside other design-visionaries such as Xbox Pope, we can expect some stellar designs dropping shortly after release.

What do you think about the best PS5 panels? Will you be customising your new PS5 to avoid getting grubby marks on the white casing, or will you keep your new console ‘au naturel’?
