Speaking of legendary fish, Legendary Fishing takes the Number 8 spot in our best PS4 fishing games list!
Ok, so you’re not going to hook King Zora from Zora’s Domain, but you might be lucky enough to bag King Salmon, his lesser-known cousin.
Unlocking gear is one of the best bits about this game, with addictive missions to play through in stunning locations alongside your mates or fishing-fanatic family.

If you’re looking for a fishing game to help you get better at fishing games, then the 80 missions that get gradually harder will help you achieve this goal.
Discovering how to fish differently through all four seasons is cool too (Winter is obviously cooler because of the temperature drop…).

6. Reel Fishing: Road Trip Adventure (2019)

Everyone loves road trips, right? So if I was to throw a Reel Fishing: Road Trip Adventure into the mix, you’d grab your rod and head to the car, right?
Summer sun, the open road, and a whole load of fish waiting for you to catch them. What’s not to love about that?

This next title in out best PS4 fishing games list sees players trying their hand at fishing in different locations, delving into freshwater fishing and deep sea fishing, all while basking in the Summer rays.
Plus, there are legendary fish to catch, but I don’t know how you’re going to manage getting them back in the car with you.
The premise of this game is more about the action-packed thrill of the catch and not the hunting around for different fish. It’s one that you can stick on and have fun with straight away rather than one that takes a lot of concentration, which is just what we all need sometimes after a long day of work.
5. Fishing: North Atlantic (2021)

Fishing: North Atlantic deviates from the traditional line fishing theme of the previous games and throws you into the deep end… literally.

The fish in this game are incredibly clever. They act as real fish would, changing location and behaviour depending on the time of day, the temperature of the water, and the weather.
Play against mates or go it alone as you pick the best equipment for the job, working out your plan of attack and catching those big-money fish!

As the prequel to North Atlantic, Barents Sea sees players heading out into the Norwegian Sea. From your grandfather’s old boat to your very own state-of-the-art vessel, work you way up as you explore the treacherous waters.

Barents Sea shook the scene up by providing a look at how commercial fishers work as opposed to recreational fishers. It’s a great insight into how the whole process works from scanning to planning quotas and controlling your trawl.
Players even have to recruit members at the pub and head to the shops to buy supplies.
Can you make a tidy profit, or will your whole adventure be a bit of a damp squib?
