10 Best Floor Gaming Chairs Of 2023

  • January 5, 2023

If you’re here and reading this, then it’s almost a guarantee that you’re a gamer. In turn, that probably means that you spend quite a bit of your free time gaming – which will mean potentially long periods of time sitting in front of a desk or the TV in a relatively fixed position.

Of course, to truly elevate your experience, ensure that you’re comfortable even during longer gaming sessions and look after your health (bad posture is really not good for you), you’re going to want to invest in a piece of furniture that’s designed especially for gamers.

Many gaming chairs these days come with a wide array of gamer-centric features and benefits – so as well as generally being beneficial from a comfort and health point of view, they can also bring a much more immersive experience to your sessions, thanks to improved sound or even lighting.

They can often be nicely designed, aesthetically pleasing pieces of furniture too and make a good place to chill when playing on your best retro handhelds.

What’s interesting, however, is that while a large number of companies seem to fight it out for the higher end, adult sized gaming chair market, it seems that just two manufacturers absolutely dominate the smaller sized, floor gaming chair sector: X-Rocker and BraZen.

Alternatives are available, but these seem to be more akin to bean bags or recliner-style floor chairs that aren’t specifically aimed at gamers. With that in mind, let’s take a look at what are currently the 10 Best Floor Gaming Chairs available on the market.

Table of Contents

  • 10. BraZen Piranha
  • 9. X-Rocker Video Rocker V2
  • 8. X-Rocker Shadow 2.0
  • 7. BraZen Python 2.0
  • 6. X-Rocker Dual VS Floor 2.1
  • 5. BraZen Sabre 2.0
  • 4. X-Rocker Chimera RGB 2.0
  • 3. X-Rocker G-Force Sport 2.1
  • 2. BraZen Emperor X 2.1 Elite
  • 1. X-Rocker Sentinel 4.1

10. BraZen Piranha

This first entry on the list is a floor gaming chair from British company BraZen, who pride themselves on their competitively priced range of gaming focused products designed by gamers, for gamers.

Their floor chairs are an excellent option, even at this lower end of the scale – the BraZen Piranha being the most basic floor chair in their catalogue.

Though lacking the bells and whistles of their other designs, it’s a simple, comfortable and compact chair that folds down to an even smaller size for storage when not in use.

Excellent for gamers on a budget, or those just looking for a chair without needing or wanting all of the extra features that come packed into the more expensive items on this list.

9. X-Rocker Video Rocker V2

Sure, the X-Rocker Video Rocker V2 is incredibly basic in terms of features – it’s literally just a floor chair with no extra functionality – but its simplicity, comfy, foldable design and low price mean that it’s not a bad option if it’s just a cheap and cheerful gaming chair that you’re after.

It’s available in a huge range of colours and designs too, with licensed Super Mario Bros characters and colour schemes in the range.

If you are shopping for more than one gamer in the family, it’s an excellent option to ensure that everyone gets a chair in a design that appeals to them – and it won’t break the bank.

8. X-Rocker Shadow 2.0

The next step up from the basic Video Rocker, the Shadow 2.0 is another small, foldable chair from X-Rocker, most suitable for use by younger gamers. Its simplicity is enhanced by the inclusion of 2.0 stereo sound, as well as a padded seat and backrest.

Simple, compact, affordable and available in a variety of colours – it’s a good step up from the most basic options available, especially given the inclusion of stereo sound.

7. BraZen Python 2.0

brazen python

Despite looking – and costing – like a more features-light floor gaming chair, don’t be fooled: the BraZen Python 2.0 is equipped not only with stereo speakers, but Bluetooth connectivity too.

It’s a great mid-budget option that comes in a range of colours and is both compact and designed with simple comfort in mind.

An excellent choice for younger gamers that – with its Bluetooth function – just edges itself ahead of X-Rocker’s Shadow 2.0 on the Best Floor Gaming Chairs list.

6. X-Rocker Dual VS Floor 2.1

xrocker dual rivals

Sneaking its way onto the Best Floor Gaming Chairs list is this unusual double seated gaming chair, which was the first – though no longer the only – gaming chair of its kind.

Sure, it’s probably not much use unless your kids are going to be gaming together a lot, but there’s no denying how cool a concept this is.

A 2.1 speaker system mounted in the headrest adds a stereo and bass audio punch to gaming sessions – with the Player One/Player Two colours and text adding a neat, gaming-based touch to the design.

Folding down neatly for storage, despite its larger size it’s actually fairly compact when you’re done gaming.

With flip up armrests on each side too, the only thing you’ll have to worry about is dodging the real life blows of your gaming opponent, who’ll be sat right next to you when you beat them.

Though more fully featured than a few of the chairs that made it to higher entries on this list, it is fairly niche and the price point is high too; but if two player gaming is a common occurrence in your household, this is definitely one of the best options to consider.

5. BraZen Sabre 2.0

brazen sabre 2.0

Another entry on the list from BraZen, the Sabre 2.0 is a compact, functional and foldable gaming chair.

Lacking a subwoofer and being on the small side has seen this chair at the lower end of the Best Floor Gaming Chairs list, but the integrated speakers (with Bluetooth functionality too!) and sturdy, practical design mean that it’s an excellent choice for younger gamers, especially as it’s also reasonably priced.

4. X-Rocker Chimera RGB 2.0

xrocker chimera

Though it lacks a subwoofer, which many other chairs on this list have, the X-Rocker Chimera does still have stereo sound and the expected solid, comfortable design you’d expect from a reliable company – focused on high quality gaming equipment – who feature multiple times on the list of the Best Floor Gaming Chairs.

However, it’s not necessarily the sound that will capture your attention with the Chimera: it’s the beautiful RGB lighting, built right into the chair. Complete with 30 different light and colour settings, it’s both aesthetically pleasing and practical.

A folding design means that it’s nicely compact too – and, despite the lighting feature, the price won’t break the bank either.

3. X-Rocker G-Force Sport 2.1

It’s a testament to just how high the quality is at this end of the list that the X-Rocker G-Force Sport 2.1 ‘only’ makes it to third place; it’s an absolutely superb design, with arm rests, a really sturdy, durable feel and excellent audio support.

It’s big enough for teen gamers too, which gives it a bit more longevity than some of the smaller chairs featured on the Best Floor Gaming Chairs list. With a headrest mounted speaker system and subwoofer in the backrest, it packs a real punch with its audio setup.

Despite its size and depth, the G-Force Sport can still fold for storage outside of game time; considering how well made and featured the chair is, it’s not as expensive as you may be expecting either.

2. BraZen Emperor X 2.1 Elite

brazen floor gaming chair emperor

Just pipped to the post by the luxurious, top of the range X-Rocker Sentinel 4.1, the BraZen Emperor X 2.1 Elite is certainly no slouch in terms of its features and design.

It’s a beautifully solid chair with plenty of padding, comfortable faux-leather outer and it even has armrests too.

Additionally, its 2.1 speaker system is bolstered by the inclusion of Bluetooth functionality (a feature that does give BraZen chairs a bit of an edge over X-Rocker chairs at similar price points) and yes, despite being another solid, sizeable chair, it can also fold neatly to be stored away too.

1. X-Rocker Sentinel 4.1

brazen emperor

Pushing the definition of ‘Floor Gaming Chair’, this absolute beast of a chair is yet another success from X-Rocker – who, along with BraZen, seem to have very few competitors, absolutely dominating the Floor Gaming Chair sector of the market.

The Sentinel is a real premium product in every way (including the price!), but it’s absolutely worth every penny if it’s within your budget.

An amazing four speakers – plus a subwoofer mounted in the backrest – easily take care of the sound, with three audio-reactive vibration motors also built into the chair for extra immersion.

It’s comfy, it’s adjustable, it’s incredibly solid – and it even folds up for convenience too. It may be pretty pricey for a Floor Gaming Chair, but it earns its place at the top of the Best Floor Gaming Chairs List with features and a design that wouldn’t be out of place on a much higher priced, standard chair.

It’s a hugely impressive piece of kit that easily outclasses every other chair on this list – the X-Rocker Sentinel 4.1 is an absolute no-brainer if your budget allows for it.
