While the buttons on the dock don’t work in handheld mode (you can’t have everything I suppose), the docks themselves would make a great display piece in your gaming room and you can actually turn the switch on and off in the same place as the original Game Boy DMG. And yes, there’s a charging port on the back with a hole for your USB-C cable.
